Philip George Reid was discovered unresponsive in bed during a welfare check at Wilkinson House, in Wymondham, on September 15, 2025.

At an inquest into his death, assistant coroner Christopher Leach recorded a conclusion of an alcohol and drug-related death.

The hearing at Norfolk Coroner’s Court heard Mr Reid, the widower of Julie Reid, had previously worked at Hong Kong International Airport and later joined Change Grow Live, a charity which supports addicts, in 2020.
