Hotel evacuated after fire breaks out
The incident happened at the Hampton by Hilton hotel at Stansted Airport.
Firefighters were called at 10.27am and crews quickly confirmed a fire on the third floor.
All guests and staff were evacuated as a precaution.
No injuries were reported and everyone was accounted for.
Dan Byatt, station manager, said: "We worked very closely with Stansted Airport, Essex Police and other partner agencies to manage the incident and ensure flights were not missed.
"Thanks to the quick actions of crews and our partners, we were able to bring the fire under control quickly and ensure everyone remained safe."
The fire was extinguished by 11.15am.
Firefighters remained on scene to ventilate the building and clear smoke using high-pressure fans.
An investigation will now take place to determine the cause of the fire.
