Will of the people ignored as council bill increases by 20pc
Cromer Town Council has decided to raise its share of council tax precept by 20pc following a heated meeting.
Originally the council had proposed a 49pc rise, which led to anger in the town and a referendum being called demanding a much lower increase.

The results of a parish poll held last week saw an overwhelming majority of voters in favour of an increase of just 10pc- however the result was not binding on the town council.
The poll result was ignored at a meeting held at the Parish Hall on Monday night in which people called for councillors to resign amid shouts of “shame on you.”
