Sheringham Town Council has allocated £4,292.86 on a new mayoral chain and pendant to replace its current 124-year-old one

It has been in use since 1901 and has had two extensions in its lifetime to accommodate the names of mayors past.

The chain is now full of names of town mayors and is showing its age, the council says.
