Rain triggers familiar flooding at notorious underpass
Following a rainy weekend, the subway under the A47 connecting the Middlemarch Road estate in Toftwood and Dereham town centre has flooded once more.
The issue has persisted for more than a decade yet National Highways, who are in charge of the site’s drainage, has insisted it is still waiting for funding to fix the issue.
After a few hours of heavy rain on Saturday, the water level rose enough that walkers had to jump to get over it.
