The incident happened near Eckling Grange care home on Norwich Road, where many elderly people, some with limited mobility, struggle to cross safely due to heavy traffic and the absence of a designated crossing point.

It saw the man hospitalised for several days following the collision.

Breckland councillor, Alison Webb, who worked with the care home to set up the petition, has written to Norfolk County Council urging it to take action.
