National heritage agency called into to inspect notorious Norfolk eyesore

Historic England, the public body which “champions and protects England’s historic environment”, is set to visit 9 Norwich Street in Fakenham next week alongside councillors and the town’s MP.

The Grade II listed building, a former Victorian shopping arcade once used to expand the town’s market, has long angered locals who say it is not only unsightly but harms business and restricts access.
