Market town locals condemn council over plans to cut down their century-old trees
Locals in Reepham claim that developers have been allowed to push through a key planning discharge, a step required before construction can begin, for a 141-home development off Broomhill Lane.
They say the decision permits the removal of mature trees and hedgerows as part of road-widening works, despite their belief that the fiolage sits on private land.

The ownership, they add, was confirmed by a Norfolk County Council representative during a meeting in May.
Mark Bridges, who lives on Broomhill Lane, described the move as “just another example of the council being incompetent”.
