Golden Bamboo will take over the old solicitors office on 25 Market Place, Dereham, after Weidong Xu twice failed to persuade Breckland to allow him to convert it to a six-bedroom house.

His initial attempt was rejected because officers did not believe his scheme complied with planning laws, while his second did not meet environmental conditions.
