Council warns proposed care home by A47 may 'end in tragedy'
If approved by Breckland Council, the 60-bed-home is set to be built next to Draytonhall Lane on the south-western side of Dereham near the A47.
But the scheme has been opposed by Scarning Parish Council due to fears of residents' safety.
In a letter of objection, Scanning Parish Council said: “It is not unheard of for dementia patients to wander off and due to the location it is thought this could end in tragedy."
