'Deteriorating' veteran submits second bid to build 'lifetime home'

Paul Grahame was caught in an explosion in 2012 while leading an anti-terrorism operation in Helmand, leaving him with mobility issues in his arms and legs.

Plans for the Neatherd Moor bungalow were initially rejected in September 2024 but have been resubmitted, accompanied by documents stating that his physical condition is “deteriorating”.

It added that this has “increased the urgency and necessity of the home”.

The application says that Mr Grahame's current property, which sits next to the proposed site, is not suitable for adaptation due........
