Everything we know about 'no body' murder one year after 54-year-old man disappeared

Maris Ile, 54, was last seen in Highgate, King's Lynn, on November 20, 2024.

Police believe he has been killed, although his body has still not been recovered.

A landmark "no body" murder investigation was then launched in March following an examination of CCTV, phone and bank records.

Here is a timeline of all the key events in the police's search effort so far.

On March 12, the investigation was thrust into the public eye by police.

They announced five people had been arrested on suspicion of murder on March 11 at addresses in King’s Lynn, Norwich and Peterborough.

A man in his 20s was arrested in Peterborough, while a man in his 30s and another in his 40s were arrested in Norwich.

A man and a woman, both in their 50s, were arrested in King's Lynn.

They have since been rebailed several times and are currently on police bail until December 11.
