The timber-framed property has more than 6,000sq ft of accommodation and is set within the walls and gatehouse of a 14th century castle. The ownership of the castle ruins comes with the property, however, any associated maintenance is carried out by Historic England.

Musician Polly Wright and artist Stuart Pearson Wright have owned the property since 2014. Polly said: “When we first visited we were immediately drawn by the unique setting of the house – it had so much potential and the surrounding grounds were absolutely breathtaking."

The ground floor accommodation comprises a sitting room, living room, dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, office, cinema room, storeroom, bedroom, two cloakrooms and a large studio.

There is an abundance of character features throughout, such as exposed timbers, fireplaces and exposed floorboards.
