Increased police patrols amid crackdown on predators
The move is part of a proactive crackdown on predatory behaviour and drink spiking, which is being called Project Vigilant.
The scheme has fallen during Freshers' Week, when university students move into their accommodation and head out into the city.
A mix of plain-clothed and uniformed officers will be out in force, identifying and intervening against inappropriate behaviour such as harassment, cat-calling and sexual offences.
They will also be on hand to offer advice and safety resources........
