Woman evades jail after horrific treatment of animals living in squalor on farm
Earlier this year, Anthea Hewitt, of Lawns Lane in Rollesby, had 18 peacocks, 10 Siberian huskies, four springer spaniels, a goat and a rabbit removed from her care.
Police sought a warrant to search her farm after "concerns were raised" about unlicensed animal breeding taking place at the remote location based at the end of a "long dirt track".

Five of which were causing unnecessary harm to a protected animal, a rabbit, a springer spaniel, a husky cross springer spaniel, a goat and a white Siberian husky.
The 15 other charges she pleaded guilty to were failing to be responsible for animals to ensure their welfare.
Inside one of the areas where the dogs were sleeping on Hewitt's property (Image: Great Yarmouth Borough Council) During her sentencing hearing at Great Yarmouth Magistrates' Court, David Lowens, the prosecuting solicitor, said when officials raided her property they found "dirty and contaminated kennels" and "severely underweight" dogs.
The kennels also had "exposed nails" and "faeces everywhere" - both fresh and old - as well as "pigeon carcasses", bowls with "little or no water" and a "smell of ammonia".
