KINGS ARMS, Fleggburgh

This red-brick pub is in the heart of the small village of Fleggburgh, close to Great Yarmouth, which is set in the Broads National Park. You’ll find a welcoming atmosphere at this award-winning gastropub standing proudly in the centre of the village, near the North Norfolk coast. A favourite with foodies, it offers a welcoming atmosphere and is visited by royals and celebrities and has been chosen as a ‘local gem’ by The Good Food Guide.

Romance is in the air at this pub-restaurant near Burnham Market, recently named by The Times as one of the country’s 20 best getaways for couples. The newspaper said the pub has ‘everything you need to spend quality time with someone special’. That’s Valentine’s weekend sorted then!

The cosy pub dates back to the 1700s and is known for its quality food, ranging from classics, such as burgers, steaks and haddock, to a loin of local Houghton deer. There are two recently refurbished rooms situated above the restaurant where guests can stay, which both overlook the garden and have super king-sized beds and their own private lounge areas.

THE WIVETON BELL, Blakeney

Overlooking the village green, The Wiveton Bell is just a mile from the village of Blakeney and close to North Norfolk’s unspoilt salt marshes. Alternatively, you can dine in the restaurant, which offers British gastropub cooking with Mediterranean influences. Guests can stay in nine wood-beamed rooms, all en suite.

THE BRISLEY BELL, near Dereham

An old coaching inn near Dereham, The Brisley Bell was recently included in The Good Food Guide’s first-ever list of the UK’s 100 best pubs. The Bell is known for its relaxed, laid-back atmosphere, with open fires, a beamed bar and snug, and an array of full bookcases in the dining room. Its menu prioritises fresh, homemade dishes combining classic English cuisine with global influences. If you want to book a stay, the pub is set in almost two acres of grounds and offers six boutique hotel bedrooms, all en-suite. Dogs are welcome.
