Dale Harvey, whose Great British Pub Crawl social media page has thousands of followers, described the city as one of the best in the country for drinking beer.

But the 37-year-old warns that boozers are at risk of closing, which he says is in part due to the 20pc income tax landlords have to pay.

Mr Harvey, from Nottingham, has already visited 82 pubs in the city and, although he is not a pub reviewer, he has been using his social media to give the industry a boost.
