The proposals for Swaffham's first Lidl store previously hit a hurdle when Breckland Council refused a bid to demolish empty warehouses on the earmarked site.

However, after successfully overturning this decision, the chain has submitted its final plans to the council, setting out new details about the proposed supermarket and the wider site.

The closest Lidl stores to Swaffham are currently in Watton and Dereham, where work on an even bigger branch recently got under way.
