Norfolk councils accused of 'virtue-signalling' by declaring climate emergencies
Speaking at a meeting of South Norfolk Council this week, Lord Fuller said "navel-gazing" at other authorities had taken precedence over actually cutting emissions.
Four district councils across Norfolk have declared a climate emergency to publicly acknowledge the threat posed by climate change and the need to take action.
Lord Fuller, former leader and member of South Norfolk Council, said some authorities had not taken action "behind the scenes" despite grandstanding about climate change.
