Greens accused of 'dithering' over suspension of councillor embroiled in scandal
Liam Calvert, who has been a member of Norwich City Council for two years, was suspended by the party this week after a former tenant spoke out about the conditions in the property and accused him of inaction.
But the Green group is now facing questions over why it took so long to take action and launch an investigation into Mr Calvert, with allegations against him first published two weeks before the decision was reached.
Mike Stonard, leader of the Labour-run council, said the delay was "baffling" and called on Mr Calvert, who remains a councillor, to "do the right thing and resign".

He was first accused of hypocrisy two weeks ago after a neighbour complained that his rental property in Hotblack Road was in dire need of roof repairs and has issues with damp which have affected her home.
