Date set for hearing into 52-acre quarry in Norfolk village
The hugely controversial proposal in Haddiscoe was blocked by County Hall's planning committee last year amid fears about its impact on the nearby St Mary's church.
The developers appealed the decision to the government's Planning Inspectorate and hope to overturn the ruling at a six-day-long public inquiry in March.
The plans would see concrete and cement suppliers Breedon extract 650,000 tonnes of gravel and 510,000 tonnes of sand from a site at Manor Farm, next to Crab Apple Lane.
