Council says it will consider tax freezes in future... but agrees 3pc hike
South Norfolk Council agreed its budget for 2025/26 at a meeting this week and said the hike was necessary to continue delivering services across the district.
This will see households across towns such as Loddon, Wymondham and Long Stratton pay almost 3pc more per year - equivalent to £5 extra for a band D property.
Daniel Elmer, leader of the council, pledged to consider tax freezes in future years but said the authority was facing "challenging times".
