Council accused of 'failure' over controversial mooring charges

The criticism has been aimed at Broadland Council after the new levy was brought in at Reedham Quay, where moorings had previously been free.

The council owns the quay but it is leased to and overseen by the Broads Authority, which made the decision to introduce the fees to help support management and staffing costs for its rangers.

However, at a recent meeting, councillors demanded to know what involvement Broadland Council had in the decision.
