Breckland Council has set aside the planned expense in its upcoming budget to replace IT equipment used by staff and councillors.

The decision has raised eyebrows at the authority, which is facing significant financial pressures and needs to make nearly £3m in savings over the next four years.

However, senior councillors have defended the steep expenditure and say it would be "wrong" not to replace outdated equipment.
