Derek Williams from the Norwich Cycling Campaign made the plea after criticising Norfolk County Council’s scheme to add pathways, crossings, traffic lights and road islands to the Longwater interchange along the A47 in Costessey.

While no safety features currently exist at the junction, Derek claims the changes would pose a greater risk of harm than none at all, especially for people trying to get to the retail park from nearby housing developments.
