An inquest earlier this month heard that Terry Hearn, 54, died at Buckingham Lodge in Carbrooke on February 10 this year after being given a drink of thickened tea without the supervision required under his care plan.

Mr Hearn, who had been living with Huntington’s disease since 2004, was permitted to have small amounts of thickened fluids for enjoyment, but only under direct observation followed by 20 minutes of monitoring.
