Renowned Norwich antique dealer and custodian of proud family tradition dies aged 82
James Francis Brett was known for his exceptional eye for quality and craftsmanship, specialising in the finest examples of English and European furniture, sculpture and metalwork.
James was the fourth generation of a family whose name has been synonymous with fine furniture and antiques in Norwich for more than 150 years.

The business was first established in 1870 by his great-grandfather, Jonathan Brett, before being expanded by his grandfather, Arthur Brett, who went on to found Arthur Brett & Sons Ltd.
From its elegant showroom at 42 St Giles Street – a Georgian townhouse in the heart of Norwich – Arthur Brett & Sons became known for producing English reproduction furniture with notable commissions including work for the National Gallery in London and the Bank of........
