Prisoner had 'raised concerns' with officers hours before his body was found
Andrew Neal was found unconscious by a fellow prisoner in his cell at HMP Wayland.
He died just over a week later, on August 18, 2024, at the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital from a brain injury, having suffered a hypoxic cardiac arrest.
Norfolk Coroner's Court was told the 53-year-old, who had only been transferred to the jail weeks earlier, had spoken to officers on the morning of August 7.

The hearing, which is ongoing, was not told the nature of these concerns.
Later that morning, another prisoner saw Mr Neal fixed to a ligature in his cell.
He was given emergency care and taken to hospital, where he later died.
The court was told the father-of-three, who was born in Dagenham, had arrived at the jail, in Griston near Watton, on from Bedford Prison on July 19.
