The business manager had been flying the drone when it became trapped high in the branches of a tree on the grounds of the property.

Just minutes after scaling the branches he was seen by his siblings and their partners falling from height onto a patch of grass with no visible attempt to stop himself.

Mr Ramsay's wife, Samantha, had been at their home in Taunton, Somerset, at the time nursing the couple's terminally ill dog.

Norfolk Coroner's Court in Norwich (Image: Denise Bradley) An inquest into his death, held at Norfolk Coroner’s Court this week, was told Mr Ramsay had climbed the tree and was about 20ft in the air - three to four times the height of a person - when the accident happened less than two weeks ago on Saturday, July 26.

In a statement to a coroner’s officer, his brother, John Ramsay, said: “At about 1pm, Malcolm climbed a tree in the back garden as the drone he was flying had landed in the tree.

“He was up the tree for a few minutes and the next thing we knew he fell from the tree.

“We didn’t hear him say anything and he didn’t appear capable of stopping........
