UEA hunting for designers to help save vacant ziggurats
The Norfolk and Suffolk Terrace buildings on campus have been vacant for two years, following a sudden change in building safety legislation.
The highly-protected grade II* listed buildings are instantly recognisable and celebrated as leading examples of brutalist architecture.
Ordinarily the buildings are occupied by student accommodation blocks, with the UEA having to scramble to find alternative provision ahead of the 2023/24 academic year.
