School with troubled past might be nation's most improved after 'best ever' GCSEs
City Academy Norwich vastly eclipsed its 2024 results after pupils earned its strongest GCSEs in the school's history.
And while its exact statistics were not yet revealed, trust leaders believe it may have seen the biggest year-on-year improvement in the country - with these figures due to be revealed in November.
The school, in Bluebell Road, has a troubled history having previously been rated as inadequate by Ofsted.
But inspectors have already noted improvement at the school and its latest results have come as a big boost.
Headteacher Jo Franklin said: "We are celebrating record results this year.
"Congratulations to our class of 2025. We are incredibly proud of the commitment and resilience they have demonstrated, achieving our best ever set of results as a school and setting themselves up for a successful future."........
