Police nurse struck off over anti-Muslim Facebook rant in wake of Southport attack
Simon Watts, a former custody nurse at Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies, made a host of "discriminatory" statements on his private social media account just days after the killings of three young girls.
Mr Watts, who has 30 years of nursing experience, wrote that the UK was “not a Muslim country” and that he believed “this country is finished due to lack of immigration control”.
At the time, he was employed by a Mitie, a medical provider which is used by the constabularies to provide health services to people in custody.
He wrote: "This country has so many nasty immigrants wanting to spread hatred and violence towards its countries [sic]........
