Luke Featherstone was found in the water close to Wensum Park in Norwich on April 9 last year. He was 33.

He was discovered in the same stretch of the city river as Mrs Lord five months earlier.

And an inquest has heard that Mr Featherstone had discussed the tragedy with his wife in the weeks prior to his own death.

In a statement read to the court, his wife said: "He did mention a lady who was found in the river near Wensum Park and that he thought she may have chosen it because it was such a peaceful place."

An earlier inquest into Mrs Lord's passing concluded her death to have been by misadventure, with the mother-of-three having previously watched a programme about cold water swimming.
