Recent figures showed that Norfolk's main hospitals were facing a combined 135 flu cases per day - with a week-on-week increase of 45pc across the three sites.

However, bosses say this daily figure "slowly reduced" last week - with all hospitals in the region - including community and mental health sites - sharing 88 cases of inpatients........
