Louise Lee, CEO of the Synergy Multi Academy Trust, has temporarily been replaced in her role, for which she receives between £140,000 and £150,000 a year.

Staff at the organisation have been told Ms Lee is "taking some time away", with her deputy appointed to take on the job in the interim period.

It is not clear how long Ms Lee's absence will be, what has prompted it and whether she will continue to be paid during her leave.
