Almond Tree Care Ltd, which provides home support services for older people and people living with dementia, has been ordered to improve by the Care Quality Commission.

However, bosses at the firm have hit back furiously, claiming they were not given fair opportunity to respond to the claims.

The Mulbarton-based firm was assessed earlier this summer, and inspectors found a "negative working culture".

And the regulator has said these concerns continue to be raised even after the inspection was published last month.

Carried out in June, the inspection nevertheless praised the care the firm provides, describing staff as "caring, thoughtful and dedicated".

However, it went on to highlight issues with the culture at the organisation which had led to a high turnover of staff.

The report reads: "Evidence showed that staff worked in a negative working environment, and while this had not impacted on the care people........
