Bright light fights! Businesses battling councils over LED signs
Vape and Variety, in Yarmouth Road in Thorpe St Andrew, has turned to the planning inspectorate after Broadland District Council refused its plans for window signs with LED lighting.
Planners for the council ruled the size of the lettering and extent of the internal illumination would "adversely affect the character and appearance" of the area.

After Aram Abdullah, applicant for the vape shop, first lodged the plans, neighbours living near the site objected to the "eyesore".
