But with unseasonably warm weather this November - temperatures reached 18C on Thursday (November 6) - the 53-year-old is still taking passengers through the tidal waters and creeks of the north Norfolk coast.

Ms Dunford runs Sail North Norfolk, which she founded in 2022.

She had previously spent two decades sailing as a hobby and six years as the only female captain for the Coastal Exploration Company.

Her vessel is a Stiffkey Cockle called "Selkie", built by George Hewitt.
