Scout group loses £50,000 as building firm enters liquidation leaving HQ unfinished
Work on extending the headquarters of the First Belton Scout Group was only three-quarters complete when contractors announced they had gone into liquidation.
The news, announced on Monday, September 29, has plunged the future of the building on Marsh Lane Track into uncertainty.
Peter Clarke, scout leader since 2002, said it was the "worst time" the 51-year-old club has ever endured.
