Last shop in 'once-thriving' area set to move as high street turns residential

But as its last remaining retailer prepares to move to a new location, the once-thriving hub is set to become almost entirely residential.

Andrew Underwood, 53, owner of Priory Kitchens and Interiors, has announced plans to relocate his shop, marking another step in the area's transition from commercial to domestic.

Back in 1984, when his father John Underwood first opened the store, then known as In Pine, it was surrounded by independent businesses.
