Gas terminal workers to vote on strike action
The employees at the energy facility are being balloted from today, September 4, on industrial action following a row over wages.
At the centre of the dispute is Altrad's offer of a one-time 4pc pay rise, which falls short of the two-year deal of 11.3pc and 5.5pc proposed under the National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry.
A recent indicative ballot saw members vote 100pc in favour of strike action which would bring work at the site to a halt.
