The deal would see the demolition of a wall at the Iron Duke, on North Drive, to allow for the expansion of an access road to the neighbouring North Denes Primary School.

The director of children's services at County Hall has submitted a planning application to Great Yarmouth Borough Council.

It is asking for permission to bulldoze the Grade II listed pub's two-metre high northern boundary wall, before building a replacement wall 1.5m closer to the building.
