Great Yarmouth Borough Council has approved a licence application for permission to serve drinks and play live music at the former Boots shop on Gorleston High Street.

Entrepreneur Sanjeeve Thevakanthan has not yet applied for planning permission to change the use of the building - which would be called Tipsy Bar and Grill.

According to his licence application, he was hoping to open the venue from 10am to 2am daily.
