Annual fishing trip ends in tragedy after man dies in camping accident

Lee Hooker's body was found sitting upright in the vehicle by friend Ian Jarrold, with a small charcoal barbecue grill by his feet which had completely gone out.

An inquest into his death, held at Norfolk Coroner's Court earlier this month, heard the 54-year-old had died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

The hearing was told Mr Hooker, from Gislingham, near Diss, and Mr Jarrold had travelled to Longueil-Sainte-Marie, about 35 miles north of Paris, on December 30 last year.
