The East of England Co-op has agreed to lease the facility near its supermarket and funeral branch on High Street in Caister from Norfolk County Council.

The retailer will take over management of the car park, providing short stay parking for customers, clients and the community.

The facility, which villagers have been using for 35 years, was shut in June after the county council closed the neighbouring Caister Community Hub.
