School's £14.4m extension to take in 150 more pupils gets go-ahead

Proposals for a new two-storey block at Wymondham High Academy were approved when members of Norfolk County Council's planning committee met on Friday.

Councillors went with the recommendation by County Hall planning officers to grant permission for the extension at the Folly Road school.

The new block will includes a three-court sports hall, four general classrooms, two food technology rooms, a music room, and rooms where graphics, information technology and computer science would be taught. It would also feature toilets and a staff office.
