Norfolk records 40pc increase in number of electric vehicle charge points

In the space of the past year, 265 extra chargers have been installed in the county - bringing the tally up to 926.

That is a 40pc increase on the 661 the county had in July last year and exceeds the average UK growth of 27pc.

The increase comes after a drive by Norfolk County Council to install more chargers across the county, as part of its electric vehicle (EV) strategy to encourage uptake of the technology.

Working with Blink, the council has installed almost 50 charging points in Norwich........
