MP likens video games to Shakespeare as he calls for law change to protect players
South Norfolk MP Ben Goldsborough spoke in Parliament to back a petition, signed by more than 190,000 gamers, who are angry that software publishers can pull the plug on software they have bought and use online, rendering games unplayable.

The Labour MP highlighted the increasing trend, whereby people buy games to play online, only for the publishers to later switch off servers or disable features.
And, unlike in the days when gamers bought software on cartridge, tape or disk, once those games which rely on online support are switched off, they can cease to exist.........
