Norfolk County Council closed Mayton Wood Recycling Centre, near Coltishall, in December 2023.

Conservative-controlled County Hall decided to shut the site, off Old Cromer Road at Little Hautbois, to save £70,000.

The council said usage had dropped since the Norwich North Recycling Centre, off the Norwich Northern Distributor Road, opened in 2021.

The council's cabinet unanimously agreed the closure,
