Drivers could be using part of newly-dualled A47 by MARCH
Progress on the dualling scheme between Blofield and North Burlingham has now reached the point where about 1.5 miles of the new carriageway, some 70 metres south of the existing A47 now has its asphalt surface laid.

Bosses at National Highways, the government company doing the work, and contractors Galliford Try, say, weather permitting, traffic will be using that stretch by next March.
While the whole scheme is not due to be completed until the end of July next year, traffic will be switched to the new section before that, while work on the existing A47 continues.
